Adjust No CDR Alarms

ISI receives and processes call data records (CDR) at regular intervals. When records haven’t been received in within a specified time frame, and email alarm is triggered. You can configure your No CDR alarm to trigger on different parameters and to specific email addresses to better suite your data sources and expected call volume.

You can edit/create No CDR alarms from the Alarm Definitions option of the Administration dropdown of the Infortel Dashboard.

Setup #

The setup options include naming the alarm, how long without receiving CDR should elapse before triggering the alarm, and who the alarm should be sent to.

Alarm Name: The name given to your No CDR alarm. This usually includes the name of the data source, and/or anything else descriptive desired to distinguish it from other alarms.

Active: Whether or not the alarm is turned on.

Alarm Type: This specifies the type of alarm being edited. Other alarm types signify the different focuses of information (data source, hunt group, facility, etc.)

Duration since last CDR received: This is the elapsed time (in hours:minutes:seconds) since data was last collected required to trigger the alarm. The default setting is 6 hours, but your preference may vary depending on how often you expect calls to be occurring.

Contacts: Who the alarm is sent to. By default, ISI is included in the contact list. Types include email addresses, and mobile phone numbers (for receiving alarms via SMS).

Constraints #

The constraints of the alarm determine the criteria required to trigger the alarm. What times of day are being monitored, and which data source(s).

Date: Which days of the week are being monitored for receiving CDR. Only days that calls are expected should be included, to reduce the likely hood of false alarms.

Time: The time of day being monitored. Only times of day that calls are expected should be included, to reduce the likely hood of false alarms. This is usually limited to regular business hours.

Data Source: Which data sources are being monitored.

  • Use the Includes dropdown to select whether the names data sources should be included or excluded from monitoring. If you have several data sources and want to monitor most but not all of them with a single alarm, it may be preferred to use the Doesn’t Include option for listing data sources.
  • Use the Look Up button to select the data source(s) to be monitored.

Additional Information #

Saving Changes: It is important to save your changes by clicking on the save icon that appears in the upper left corner of the page before exiting.

Troubleshooting: If no CDR is being received and an alarm is triggered, please refer to this article on troubleshooting CDR , or reach out to ISI Support here.
